About us

Our team is comprised of a select group of students from Nottingham High School who are determined to prove ourselves in the world of robotics by means of the FIRST competition. Each student brings his or her own unique talents and abilities to the team, helping to achieve our goal of creating the ultimate robot for the competition. We are very grateful to our sponsors; without their generous donations, we would not be able to fund our project and enter this competition. This is our third year participating in the FIRST competition, so we are still a young team compared to teams from other schools. Nonetheless, we continue to set high expectations for ourselves and our team as a whole, and hope to perform well in the competition at the Sovereign Bank Arena.

About First

F.I.R.S.T stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. Their vision, in the words of Dean Kamen, the founder of FIRST, is :

"To create a world where science and technology are celebrated... where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes"
