To reach the competition, we meet daily to work on the robot and complete other required activities. We separate into two main groups: the Build Team and the Media Team. Build Team members work on the design and execution of the robot itself. They do everything from creating gearboxes to building the practice field to programming the robot. The Media Team works on everything else.

Essential parts are built through the joint effort of the school's technology teachers and students. Custom made parts are graciously provided by our mentor Ed Healey. Once in the workshop, they are adjusted to meet our precise needs before they are placed on the robot.

We are very rigorous about maintaining a safe environment. Working on the robot can be hazardous if the proper measures are not taken; therefore, the team strictly follows safety guidelines. Upon entering the workroom, the first motion made by a team member is to put on a pair of safety glasses. Horseplay is not permitted in the shop, due to the large number of hazardous tools. The shop is constantly monitored by an advisor or mentor to ensure all students abide by the rules.
