Valentine's Day Carnations
To celebrate Valentine's Day, we sell carnations for a week during lunch periods for a dollar apiece. Students are able to purchase flowers for their friends, crushes, girlfriends or boyfriends. On Valentine's Day, we distribute the carnations to students.
We buy the flowers for $0.75 apiece and make a profit of $0.25 per carnation sold. Carnations are cheaper and last longer than roses.
Resources
We buy the carnations from a local flower store. Call your local flower shops to see if you can make a deal. Many vendors will be glad to offer reduced prices to high school fundraisers.
