EnviRobotics
Inspired by a sense of morality, Team 2191 strives toward the reduction of its carbon footprint through the use of renewable energy sources. In the hopes that our endeavors can be reflected in industry, we have started a Going Green Initiative.

We aspire to influence industry to begin programs similar to our reducing, reusing, and recycling.

Recycling
Though we strive for excellence in the arena, our efforts are not limited to the engineering of robots. Throughout our build seasons, we have realized how wasteful our project could become. Through our Going Green program, we emphasize the importance of recycling.
Aluminum Cans
Throughout the school year, the team maintains yellow recycling bins in the cafeteria and teachers' lounge in order to encourage students and faculty to recycle. Students and teachers are encouraged to deposit used aluminum cans in these bins. Over the course of the team's participation in FIRST Robotics, more than 750 pounds of aluminum have been collected.
The tabs are removed and donated to the Ronald McDonald House through the Technology Student Association.
Regolith
For 2009's game, Lunacy, we ordered several sheets of Regolith, the material that was used for the arena floor. This aided the team in preparation for the competition. At the end of the season, when the team was cleaning the workshop, some members speculated that the Regolith could be recycled as an easy-to-clean wall covering. The Regolith has been installed in the Technology Department men's restroom. It provides a more aesthetically pleasing and custodian friendly alternative to unsightly, cracked tiles.
