Team Updates

About us

We are a select group of students from Nottingham High School who are determined to prove ourselves in the world of robotics by means of the FIRST competetion. Each student brings their own unique talents and abilities to the team, helping to achieve our goal of creating the ultimate robot for the competition. We are able to fund our project thanks to the generous donations from our sponsors, to whom we are very grateful. This is our second year participating in the FIRST competition, so we are still a young team compared to other schools. However, we continue to set high expectations for ourselves and our team as a whole, and hope to perform well in the competition at the Sovereign Bank Arena.

About First

F.I.R.S.T stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. Their vision, in the words of Dean Kamen, the founder of FIRST, is :

"To create a world where science and technology are celebrated... where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes"
